Whether you head South of Vipingo or to the North Coast there are also many child-friendly activities available so you should never be stuck with ideas of what to do with the children. There are waterslides, feeding the animals at Haller Park, which consists of a game sanctuary which hippos, eland and bufallo, Reptile section with enormous crocodlies and snakes, a spectacular Palm Garden, and a giraffe viewing and feeding platform. Next door is the butterfly centre and playground at Bamburi Nature Trails. Here you can go for long walks in the forest or even hire a bike for the more active. After this you can visit Yules for lunch and enjoy fantastic ice creams and Camel Rides at Bamburi Beach.

Situated at Mnarani Club on Kilifi Creek, 3 Degrees South offers sailing, water skiing, wake-boarding, kayaking, stand up paddling, windsurfing and scuba diving – all with international standard tuition. It is the only RYA training centre for dinghy sailing, windsurfing and power-boating in East Africa.
